Hi, im on a visa subclass 163 under my father’s visa. I going the start uni next month and im unsure of the heath cover part. With my visa, do I need a health cover? if so is there any health cover for student for my visa? Hope for a reply soon as its quite confusing and might cause me the cancellation of my offer.

i have just came home to Australia after many yrs in London, i have just recieved my Australian Perminent Residency , my problem is that i have 2 young children which i enrolled in a primary school in Victoria, now the school are sayin that my Perminent Residency aint enough proof to keep the children in education as their names are not on my PR papers. What do i do? The school are saying they need an International Students Number..How do obtain this. Please reply as this is their last day at shool because of this.

Hi,
I’m also the 163 visa holder and I’m studying at Uni.
If I still study at Uni, is it right that I can still buy OSHC?
What if I finish my study? Can I still buy OSHC?

Hi,
I’m currently an overseas student and I’m holding the subclass 143 ( Conbtributory Parent – Migrant ) visa. I wonder if there is any change in the tution fee ( will my fee be lower ?) and if I will be classed at a permanent resident or an internation student ? I’m going to study TAFE next semester. I want to know if there is any difference in the fee between subclass 143 and 163.

I have a 163 visa and will arrive to start my business in jan 2011. My son still has a further 2 years of studying before he joins me in Australia. Will this affect my PR in anyway or his? Does he have to spend a minimum amount of time in Australia in order to qualify for his PR? I am the principal member.

And will be there be any trouble if i apply for a deferral for only one semester at my university?
