Subclass 164 State Sponsored Senior Executive Visa

This visa is intended for applicants who have had a successful background as Senior Executives employees in large overseas businesses, who have significant assets and a genuine and realistic commitment to participate in the management of a new or established business in Australia.  This business visa will allow the holder to establish or purchase a business in Australia.

The requirements of the subclass 164 State sponsored Senior Executive visa are that an applicant must:-

  • be less than 55 years or propose to participate in a business activity which will be of exceptional economic benefit to the State
  • For 2 out of the last 4 financial years, have occupied a position in the top 3 levels of management in a business with annual turnover of at least A$10,000,000
  • net asset level is at least A$250,000 plus an additional amount for your settlement costs in Australia
  • State sponsorship approval (based on proposing to own and operate a suitable Australian business)

This visa recognizes that experienced senior executives do have the skills and background to go on to own and operate a successful business in their own right.

    Query about extend the visa..
    I have 164 visa and it’s already past 3years. And Business is not started yet.
    Because my parents are not well, I have to care them.
    Well, Is that able to extend the visa?
    or Can I apply same visa again?
